I strive to make this a space where everyone, regardless of race, gender identity, orientation, size, or immigration status can feel safe and welcome. No matter who you are, I will do my damnedest to help you feel like you can exhale fully while you're here.
I actively participate in social change and do not believe in staying neutral in the face of intolerance. Whether this is your journey or not, I do ask that you engage with others here with respect and safety. So while this may be a good fit for many, it will not be a good fit for all. i.e. Hate of any kind will not be tolerated here.
I also want to acknowledge that as a business owned and managed by a cisgender white woman, it may not always feel comfortable for everyone to relax fully. While I would love the opportunity to create safety and resonance, I get that sometimes that's just not gonna happen. As a solo practice, I'm not yet at a point where I can bring more diversity to my staff to help address this ( change may come but I don't expect patience while it does).
If you like most of what I do, but know that you need to land somewhere with people who have more shared lived experiences, understand that I really do get that. Please feel free to reach out, and I can connect you with other resources both in the yoga and therapeutic communities.
I get that there's only so much healing & growth that can be encompassed in "self-care" and that community care and social justice work are both pivotal if we want to change our world and ourselves.
Below is a list of some of the organizations Quirk supports either financially or contributes to and learns from in other ways. I encourage you to consider supporting any of these AMAZING programs.
If you're unable to contribute financially, consider volunteering in your local community. This website lists many opportunities to volunteer in Central Texas based on interests and locations.
